Katja Tollmar Grillner, vice chairperson

Appointed by the President of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (since 2017)

Katja Grillner holds a PhD in Architecture, a MArch in Architectural Theory and History, and a professional degree in Architecture. She is professor of Critical Studies in Architecture and Head of Department at KTH School of Architecture. Her research into architecture and landscape performs aesthetic, historical and literary investigations from the perspectives of poetic practices and critical theory. Earlier experience from academic and culture board membership responsibilities include for example the Swedish Museum of Architecture and the Swedish research council Formas. 

 

Francesco di Lella

Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm (since 2022)

Francesco Di Lella holds a PhD in Romance Philology. His research has focused on Old-French novels and historiography. He has been Cultural Officer at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2020, working on the promotion of Italian Culture abroad.

 

Göran Lindqvist, chairperson

Appointed by the President of the Stockholm School of Economics (since 2013)

Göran Lindqvist holds a PhD in Business Administration, a MSc in Engineering Physics, and is Civilekonom DHS. He is Director of Research at the Stockholm School of Economics. His research has focused on regional economic development and economic geography. He is also board member of Finansforskningsstiftelserna.

Monika Wirkkala

Appointed by the Director of the Swedish Institute, SI (since 2023)

Monika Wirkkala is the Director of the Department for Business operations at SI. She has prior to her work at SI worked as a university lecturer of Swedish language and literature abroad, and as a translator for SVT. The Swedish Institute promotes Sweden’s international relations and its attractiveness as a knowledge nation.

Mauro Zamboni

Elected by the Board (since 2021)

Mauro Zamboni holds a Ll.D. in Law. He is Professor in Legal Theory at the Stockholm University. His research has focused on the relations between law and politics and legislative studies. He is also Senior Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London and Korea Legislation Research Institute Global Research Fellow.
